Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Let Curiosity Lead, operated by Budmen Industries ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website at letcuriositylead.com or submitting a curiosity card, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our service.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information.

What Is Let Curiosity Lead?

Let Curiosity Lead is a grassroots civic movement. We gather community statements about why curiosity matters, print them on physical cards, compile them into bound volumes, and deliver them to Congressional offices, public leaders, community officials, and others who affect their communities.

We also use these cards in public presentations, talks, and events to share the Curiosity Movement with wider audiences. Our goal is to make shared curiosity visible in the rooms where decisions are made—not to convince, pressure, or win, but to make space for learning together.

Who Can Use This Service

• Age 13 and Older: You must be at least 13 years old to submit a curiosity card independently.
• Under 13: If you are under 13, a parent, guardian, or teacher must submit your card on your behalf and confirm they have permission to do so.
• Accuracy: You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to submit the content.

License You Grant to Us

When you submit a curiosity card, you grant Budmen Industries a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and distribute your submitted content in the following ways:

• Print and Deliver: We may print your card and include it in bound volumes delivered to Congressional offices, public leaders, community officials, government agencies, elected officials, and others who affect their communities.
• Public Presentations: We may include your card in public presentations, talks, speeches, and events about the Curiosity Movement.
• Public Display: If you opt in, we may display your card in our online gallery.
• Public Sharing: With your consent, we may share your card on our website, social media channels, reports, presentations, and other materials related to Let Curiosity Lead.
• Archival Purposes: We may preserve your card as part of the historical record of this movement.
• Derivative Works: We may compile, curate, and present cards collectively (e.g., in printed volumes, exhibitions, or reports).

Your Responsibilities

When you submit a curiosity card, you agree that:

You Will NOT Submit Content That:

• Contains false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Infringes on anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
• Contains hate speech, harassment, threats, or promotes violence
• Is sexually explicit, obscene, or inappropriate for a civic movement
• Contains spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation
• Includes private personal information (phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, medical information, etc.)
• Violates any local, state, federal, or international law
• Impersonates another person or entity

You Will:

• Submit content that you own or have the right to share
• Keep private information out of your message (we cannot redact once delivered)
• Use the service in good faith and in the spirit of civic curiosity
• Respect the moderation process and our editorial discretion

Content Moderation

We review all submissions before they are printed, delivered, or displayed publicly. We reserve the right to:

• Approve, reject, or request modifications to any submission
• Remove content from the public gallery at any time
• Refuse to print or deliver content that violates these Terms
• Edit for length, clarity, or formatting (with your permission)

We do not guarantee that your card will be published or delivered. Our moderation decisions are final and at our sole discretion.

Disclaimers and No Warranties

LET CURIOSITY LEAD IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We make no guarantees about:

• Delivery: While we intend to deliver cards to Congress, we cannot guarantee delivery, receipt, review, or any action by Congressional offices or elected officials.
• Outcomes: We cannot promise that your card will influence legislation, policy, or decisions.
• Availability: The service may be interrupted, delayed, or discontinued at any time.
• Accuracy: We strive for accuracy but make no warranties about the completeness or reliability of content on our site.
• Security: While we use reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee that our service is completely secure.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUDMEN INDUSTRIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF LET CURIOSITY LEAD.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Loss of data, content, or submissions
• Unauthorized access to your information
• Actions or inactions of third parties (including Congressional offices)
• Any damages arising from user-submitted content
• Service interruptions or errors

In no event shall our total liability exceed $100 or the amount you paid to use our service (which is $0).

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Budmen Industries, its founders (Stephanie & Isaac Budmen), employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights
• Content you submit to Let Curiosity Lead
• Your use or misuse of the service

Intellectual Property

The Let Curiosity Lead website, design, logo, and content (excluding user submissions) are owned by or licensed to Budmen Industries and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without written permission.

Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate your access to Let Curiosity Lead at any time, for any reason, without notice
• Remove, refuse, or stop distributing your content
• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it)

Upon termination, the licenses you granted to us for submitted content will survive and remain in effect for content already printed, delivered, or published.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of Let Curiosity Lead after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the service.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Let Curiosity Lead shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, or in the state or federal courts located in New York, as applicable.

You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Budmen Industries regarding Let Curiosity Lead.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment

We may assign or transfer these Terms and our rights/obligations to another entity. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent.
